MAME cabinet, outer end pieces for the console..

..sorted out! Plenty of same routine here as with the inner end pieces, but with a bit more work needed. As these are the parts that will be very very visible, filling and sanding has to be done with more attention to detail.

Regarding materials, both of the inner and outer pieces are cut from recycled plywood. The filler used to spackle the surface was Plastic Padding chemical wood; AFAIK this is the same stuff as chemical metal but simply tinted to light brown instead of gray. Presumably, drywall filler would do just as fine but PP happened to be the stuff at hand.

Inner and outer end pieces assembled.

Test mounting the console, lower edge is misaligned because supports are missing.
